On Saturday last week, The U12F team faced Dulwich’s U12Es at home. It was a comprehensive victory for Hampton ending in a 14-0 win for the hosts.
Many players had outperformed themselves such as Ruhaan Vinod, Vivaan Senapati and Rayan Albayatti, all ending up with 12 goals in total between them. Hampton’s victory was made ever better by the fact that they played the second half without four of their players.
It was a great win with some great plays and goals too. Most of the goals were caused by Hampton pressing hard and many passes were played to confuse the defence, allowing for the attacker to make a run and score.
Two of the goals were scored directly from a corner and one of them managing to have such height that it went over the Dulwich goalkeeper and curved right into the net.
Hampton dominated possession throughout the game and stayed solid at the back as well, leading to a nice clean sheet for the keepers to enjoy. One of the key players at the back was Jack Thorne, as he had managed to stop multiple chances from Dulwich and made many chances for Hampton, as well as grabbing a goal for himself. Overall, it was a great performance from Hampton and everyone enjoyed it.
