U12Fs record convincing 7-3 victory over Cardinal Vaughan
By Rayan Albayatti
On Friday 2 February, Hampton U12F faced Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School. It was a hard battle for Hampton to get high up the pitch but after piling up the pressure on the opposition, Hampton managed to lead with an early goal from Rueben Nicholson to give Hampton the lead from a mistake by the opposition keeper.
Immediately after, Hampton won a corner and Rayan Albayatti managed to score after it had rebounded off the defender’s leg right into Albayatti to give him an easy chance to make it 2-0. However, after Hampton had begun going up the pitch, they lost the ball and Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School scored on the counter-attack, going straight into the bottom corner.
After that, Hampton dominated possession of the game and scored many goals that came for Rueben Nicholson, Vivaan Senapati and Ruhaan Vinod but occasionally slipped up in defence and conceded two goals. Hampton came out of the game with a 7-3 win over Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School and everyone was jubilant during that game. It was a great performance by everyone as they gave it their all and tackled the game brilliantly.
