U12Bs fight back from 5-15 behind to beat Harrodian

By Isaac Tarragano

Hampton U12Bs beat Harrodian U12A 20-15 after a dramatic second-half comeback.

Harrodian surged ahead from the start and scored three tries quickly. But that didn’t dispirit Hampton, and Ben Conaghan scored a last minute try to end the half 5-15 to Harrodian.

In the second half, the Hampton U12Bs rediscovered their A game, with Josh Skeaping scoring two tries.

Skeaping managed to break through Harrodian’s defence and score Hampton’s second and third tries, bringing the scores level.

Lucas Raivio in a great passage of play, intercepted the ball and shrugged off multiple players. The score was 20-15 to Hampton with 5 minutes to go when Harrodian attacked the space.

However, Isaac Tarragano managed to get under the ball, causing Harrodian to be held up and the try was not awarded. When the whistle blew, the final score was 20-15 to Hampton.

“At 0-15 down, we didn’t give up and managed to get the 20-15 win,” said captain Ollie Davies.

This win means that the U12Bs only have one match left in what has been an undefeated season.
