U14B score five as Hampton ease past Campion

By Josh Freer

Hampton scored five excellent tries to beat a brave Campion School team by 31 points to nil on Saturday.

Hampton kicked off to a receiving Campion, but possession immediately changed in Hampton’s favour, and winger Saganan Thuraisingham notched up the first five points of the match.

Full back Oliver Goodchild took the conversion but his kick fell short.

After this first try, Hampton’s morale was high, and soon winger James Taylor added another try to double the score.

Oliver Goodchild showed the touch-line supporters his kicking finesse by making the conversion.

The next few minutes witnessed some brilliant runs from Xavier Zadeh together with a third try by centre Josh Freer.

After half time, Hampton returned to the pitch with fresh ambition to maintain their form for the rest of the match.

After such an uneven first half, Campion worked hard to prevent Hampton from scoring further tries.

But the home team were not to be stopped as full back Oliver Goodchild scored another try, and then saw his conversion fly straight between the posts.

Now with a 26-point lead, Hampton dominated the rest of the game and even managed to add an extra 5 points with a fifth try to make the final score 31-0.
