U12Es seal conclusive 13-0 victory in season opener

By Jack Haynes

Hampton U12E team began the season by cruising to victory against Berkhamsted.

Hampton’s 13 strong squad looked comfortable right from the start and they were a goal up inside five minutes through Jack Mountney. The home side were proving too much for Berkhamsted and as the first half drew to a close, they were leading seven nil.

The team picked up where they left off in the second 25 minutes as Mountney completed his hat-trick. They had many shots and one would argue that they could have had more.

In the second half, the away side entered Hampton’s territory only twice and goalkeeper Haadi Hariri didn’t touch the ball. Everyone was in on the act and Jack Haynes, Ethan Price, Mountney, Ben Penny and Alexander Barton all found the back of the net. Barton and Mountney both scored hat-tricks but the match award must be given to the latter for his 7 goals.

Hampton completed a resounding 13-0 win.
