Promising start for U14 badminton players

By Avi Bhatt

Hampton won their first U14 Badminton fixture against King’s College School (KCS) on 29 November 2021.

The doubles tournaments saw a convincing win from the three Hampton pairs in the A group, winning eight matches and only losing one. This was due to consistent wins from the Hampton side, with the only loss being Hampton’s third pair against the first pair of KCS.

However, in the B group, games were more in favour of KCS, with Hampton winning two matches and losing seven. Although the Hampton team might have had better players, it was clear than KCS had more depth to their team. Overall, it was a close finish for the School with ten matches won and eight lost. The matches showed a promising start for the future of badminton at Hampton this year, and the team are looking forward to the next fixture.
