By Sam Greaney
Hampton U12As rugby squad travelled to Cobham ready to battle for a win against Halliford. The game started off very well for Hampton with Lawrence Schmidt clattering over the line to score Hampton’s first try of the game, but after this, Halliford had a very good chance to score, although Hampton defended very well and held the ball up on the line.

They were scored by: Lucas Brand, Thomas Double, Benny Bradley, Sam Greaney and Will Dawson. Impressively, Thomas Double managed to score twice to help Hampton score seven tries in one half. Near the end of the half though, Halliford did score a try to make the score at half time 35-5 to Hampton.
It was a slower start to the second half for Hampton with Halliford scoring from a free pass to make it 35-10 to Hampton. Late on in the half, Hampton found some momentum and scored three tries in the last five minutes. They were scored by: Lucas Brand, Benny Bradley and Thomas Double; with Brand and Bradley braces and Double a Hat-trick.
