After an outstanding display, U12 Hamptonians won a friendly game at home against Elizabeth College, with goals distributed across the side.
A solid team effort and some excellent solo play got the Hampton U12Cs all they needed to overcome the opposition, with U12B team player Jake Perera making an appreciated appearance and even going on to assist his teammate.
Experimenting with players in different positions, Hampton’s breakthrough came from out-of-position player Rex Bell.
The lead was added to by Oliver Tredget, who went on to convert two of the five goals scored by the home team, with Raadin Jamali expertly assisting one of these efforts.
Despite the individual excellence from the aforementioned Hamptonians, the match’s star player, in the eyes of HSC’s reporter, was the opposing team’s No.15.
According to the players, the opposition’s main threat was ‘hard to mark because of his clever movement.’
Overall, Hampton’s convincing performance solidified hopes that, like this week, the remainder of the season could be a successful one.
In other U12 matches that day, the U12A team won 6-2 in the first round of the County Cup against Howard of Effingham School, with a hat-trick from Joshua Rey-Raab, a goal from James Zanette, and a brace from Oscar Casasus Vie.
In the only away fixture of the day, Hampton’s U12Bs prevailed in the second round of the ESFA Cup against Glyn School.
