Louis Lynagh makes professional Harlequins debut in Premiership Rugby Cup

By Josh Bartholomew

Former 1st XV captain Louis Lynagh (OH 2019) made his Harlequins debut off the bench in their Premiership Rugby Cup win over Bristol Bears on Friday night.

Lynagh, who played for England’s U16 and U18 teams, was offered an academy contract at the Stoop upon leaving school last summer and has begun his professional career with aplomb.

The 18-year-old faces stiff competition from England international Mike Brown for the full-back position, but has made heady progress already for the South-west London side.

Harlequins’ next game in the Premiership Rugby Cup is against London Irish at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday, before the Gallagher Premiership begins next month after an elongated summer-break due to the World Cup.
