U14B progress in ESFA with destructive victory over Sandringham

Hampton’s U14B team beat Sandringham School 9-0 to Progress to the third round of ESFA.

On the 14thNovember, Hampton travelled to Sandringham school to play the second round of the ESFA cup.

With both teams looking to progress to round three, Hampton needed to make a good start. 

Hampton started the stronger of the two sides as an early goal came from a curled shot into the bottom left corner by Saganan Thursaisingham. 

Only a few minutes later, Thuraisingham doubled Hampton’s lead by scoring after good build-up play.

After working down the right side tirelessly, Alpha Barry added a third goal from a cross, making the score-line 3-0 to Hampton.

Just before halftime, Barry scored another goal for Hampton, meaning Sandringham were trailing by four goals.

After halftime, Barry scored again, following a deflection and superbly attempting an overhead kick to get his hat-trick.

Two more goals from Barry, after his hat-trick, increased Hampton’s lead to seven goals.

Thuraisingham also secured his hat-trick by tapping the ball in, following a cross from the left hand side.

Lucas Hermann Sosa got his name on the scoresheet as a shot from the edge of the box, scraped the cross bar and went in, making the score-line 9-0 to Hampton.

Hampton thought they had reached double figures, only for Aryan Virdi’s goal to be ruled offside.

A comfortable win for Hampton means that they will progress into the third round of ESFA. 

U14B captain Camilo Clarke commented after the game, “We fought for it, and wanted the win more. Overall we were the better side”.
