U12Ds emerge victorious in tight 3-2 encounter

By Josh Millington-Jones

It was a great match between Hampton School’s U12 D team and Dulwich College which saw Hampton edge past the opposition in a tight game.

Hampton applied pressure from the start and, soon after kick off, George Moria scored his first from a great finish. Soon after, Moria scored once more with an accurate volley. After a host of chances for both teams, the referee blew his whistle for half-time, Hampton leading 2-0.

Play started again and Dulwich College were hungry for a goal and it came from a deflection off the ‘keeper which was clinically finished by the opposition. Dulwich continued their pursuit of the game, scoring again, this time from a counter attack.  Time ticked on but Hampton still felt they had a chance at snatching the game. With just a few minutes left, a ball was lifted up into the opposition’s box and Josh Gibbins netted the ball to give Hampton a 3-2 victory.
