Strong Start Continues For U12Bs With 13-1 Win

By Jack Morris

Coming off the back of a great win against Kingston Gramar School on Friday, winning 9-0, confidence was running through every one of the Hampton U12B players going into their next fixture against Alleyn’s.

The team started well with wingers and midfielders making great contributions to attacking plays, as Felix Koltai scored two penalties inside the first fifteen minutes and Hampton found themselves pushing for another big scoring match. Henry Riley scored a couple in the first half as well as Jay Peakman, and Alex Dale played a great half in midfield, being solid in defence and playing great through balls to our excellent wingers alongside Felix Koltai. The defenders were not letting Alleyn’s get away and the first half ended up being 7-0.

Half Time score 7-0

The second half started slowly as Alleyn’s pushed for an improbable comeback, but as soon as Alleyn’s got their first real chance, Hampton pushed it down the pitch with a long ball from the keeper Al Malston to be put into the back of the net. Hampton pushed for goals, and they came thick and fast as Riley doubled his tally to 4 and Peakman managed to bag a Hat-trick. But as the team came about double figures, Alleyn’s got the ball and scrappily put it into the back of the net. As Hampton won another high-scoring game, the Alleyn’s team did not give up, and the U12Bs got a scare as the opposition striker managed to get behind the defence but missed out on a goal. Overall, the Hampton side competed well and won well as their tally of goals this season pushes to 35, with just 2 conceded- inside three matches!
