Commanding win sees Hampton U13As progress in ESFA
By Alex Watson
After a hard-fought 5-4 victory in the previous round of ESFA, the Hampton U13As went into their third round against Royal Docks Community School buzzing with anticipation and above all a determination to succeed.
They started quickly, with an early cross into the box from Alex Watson being clinically dispatched by Rio Felonov-Tzanev.
More goals quickly followed; Felonov-Tzanev grabbing a second goal before Alessandro Cardinale slammed home a third following a cut back from Marcus Solomon.
Balti Birts made an immediate impact off the bench to net goal number four before Cardinale found the net again after a defense-splitting through ball.
Hampton continued to press home their advantage, with Birts slotting home to make it 6-0, before a fierce, low strike from Watson found its way into the bottom corner. Heading into half time, the scoreboard read 7-0.
The boys started where they left off in the first half, continuing to play lots of attractive passing football. Felonov-Tzanev grabbed his third and fourth goal of the game to seal another impressive hat-trick for the striker, before Watson tapped home a straightforward finish to put the number of goals into double figures.
Solomon netted goal eleven for the hosts, after a fine solo run, before central midfielder Finley Milner made it twelve, with a tidy finish into the bottom left corner.
Overall, a throughly satisfying and comprehensive victory for the Hampton U13As as they go marching on to round four of ESFA.
